Life, the Universe, and Stuff

Sheesh, it's been ages since I last posted anything here. This fall, I'll be on leave from my teaching duties and will take the opportunity to travel to attend conferences and to collaborate with other academics. Just as I think of being away from home for days at a time, I am struck by how much I love my wife and my boys. I always have the feeling that every minute that I spend away from them is a minute where I am missing something important. In any case, sometimes we just have to do what we *have* to do. I am taking this picture of them as the wallpaper on my laptop.
