Raf - Ouch
I've been enjoying Italian pop for a while and Raf has been one of my favorites for several years. It's not that it's music you can't live without, but for whatever reason, some of his songs really speak to me. Iperbole, in my opinion, is his best album so far, and so Ouch, the follow up, came with really high expectations. Do I think it is as fantastic as Infinito? No, I sure don't. In fact, about the first half of Ouch sounds a bit like songs he released earlier. Nice to listen to, but nothing infectious or outstanding. The second half, though, is really interesting and fun and more like what I expected in a new release. Nessuno, Ouch, Mi fermo qui, and In tutti i miei giorni (revolutionized) are strong tracks that I can listen to repeatedly. I hear there's a new album coming out in May and I'm looking forward to it. I'm always looking forward to new music by Raf, even if my friends tell me I should be ashamed for it.
